I Miss you Mum
I put in a layout of my Mum in for the Scrap World Back to Reality Challenge. The challenge this week is called Big Brother. The layout had to include a family member or a friend with journaling.
As I tried to finish this layout I felt it could never be good enough. My mum had died when I was very young. Maybe I shouldn't have done a layout of her. Brings up emotion.
Here it is.
Another layout I had been working on is one of me walking/climbing on Mt Buffalo. I am quite scared of heights especially if I feel unsteady on my feet. My husband is a climber who works for a company called Vertigo. So going for a bushwalk with him can be a challenge for me.
Here is the layout.
I used watercolor and acrylic paint on the cardstock and Rouge De Garance papers. I had fun doing this layout but it took me ages as they all do.

Hmmmmm
I noticed that there has been 125 hits to my blog. I'm quite amazed that so many people have looked at my blog. I will confess a lot of those hits have been me trying to fix up the problems I have been having in learning how to do everything. I really like people leaving a message. It makes me feel really good :) But also its great to just have this for the sake of it.
I got a album kit from Jen Hall and I am really looking forward to do her class. I need to learn so much more. Jen is so creative and I need just a bit of that.
On more of a personal note my husband has been working all day and he is going to work tonight on a different job. He is a rigger and at times he has dangerous work to do. I find it hard to think about it too much.
Hopefully I'll get some scrapping done tonight and finish off some layouts.

Watercolors, the mountains and a challenge.
I received watercolor trays with my Tarisota kit
There was also a little brush I could fill up with water. I gave it ago but could not manage any more than a kindergarten painting. I did better when I was 5. I will post as soon as I have finished. I wish I was a bit more artistic.
Last week I went to a crop organised by Kiti Q and Bon's Scraps.
I really enjoyed myself but didn't finished my layout. I'll post this one soon too. But while I was their Mark Ethan and Ella went to the mountains and came back with some great photos.
I have entered a challenge at Scrap World called Back to Reality based on reality tv shows.
Here are my first 2 layouts.
week 1 - Project Runway
A layout with fabric.
week 2 - Survivor
A layout with the bare essentials, patterned paper, ribbon, chipboard. Allowed to use lace too :)
I didn't realise until I had half finished the second layout that the photos were almost the same.
Thanks for looking :)
